Drop-Tine President, Jason R. Snavely, is a consulting wildlife biologist. He grew up in Eastern Pennsylvania where he developed a passion for spending time in the outdoors. At an early age, Jason developed a respect for wildlife systems and sound wildlife management principles. He attended Mississippi State University and earned a degree in Wildlife Science. Currently Jason resides in Bloomsburg, PA with his wife Brooke, son Grant and daughter Teddi.
Jason was fortunate to get to know and work for the nations top deer researchers, managers and wildlife biologists. These individuals haveshaped Jason into the deer nut he is today. Jason’s articles have appeared in Quality Whitetails and Deer & Deer Hunting and he regularly gives seminars and demonstrations on all aspects of white-tailed deer biology and management. In addition to studying deer, he worked on projects studying wild turkeys and bobwhite quail.
After graduating from MSU in 2001 Jason decided to take what he learned in Mississippi and Texas and apply it in his home state of Pennsylvania. Ironically, the quality deer management movement was just spreading across a few of the northern states. With this movement came the demand from private landowners and hunting clubs who wanted quality deer herds, quality habitats, and quality hunting experiences. To answer this demand, Drop-Tine Wildlife Consulting was created and has evolved into one of the nations leading consulting companies. Today, Jason spends much of his time working with private landowners, purchasing and developing deer hunting properties, and working on his food plot research and demonstration facility
